GREGG WALLACE
Dismaying to read the news about Gregg Wallace. He’s been on the show for 20 years and has always come across as an incredibly likeable Libran. Now he’s headline news for all the wrong reasons, yet another man who’s in trouble because of historical inappropriate behaviour and sexual harassment.
From Monday’s weekly blog –
He took to social media on Sunday to defend himself, an ill advised thing to do under a retrograde Mercury in truth loving Sag, as no matter what the truth really is or what he says it could easily be used against him.
His words ring with outrage, including –
“I can see the complaints coming from a handful of middle-class women of a certain age, just from Celebrity MasterChef. This isn’t right.
No horoscope for him as no known time of birth, but what do his planets suggest?
Librans love relating, in all senses of the word, and it’s not in their nature to keep a distance. Most Librans will engage quickly and easily with newcomers. Natally he has Mercury (talk) conjunct Venus (love, women) in Scorpio (sex, power), pretty obvious symbolism for sexual banter, but did he cross the line? He’ll certainly get slammed for that “middle aged women of a certain age” comment, he should’ve known better than that.
Compare Prince Andrew and the car crash interview 16 November 2019, conducted under a retrograde Mercury in Scorpio, from which he’s never recovered. A retrograde Mercury can show as disbelief … but it can also signify intense regret at a later date, speaking out in haste or anger so often turns out to be ill advised. Better to shut up and keep things behind closed doors.
How much trouble is he in? A lot. I would say his career is over. The reason his words were ill advised is because he clearly didn’t take any advice at all. There is no shred of taking responsibility, only anger towards his “abusers”. Point number 5 on my retrograde Mercury checklist that I included in full in last week’s blog –
- Be cautious or at least selective in your use of social media. Avoid posting anything too personal or getting involved in any kind of angry debates
He’s since apologized for the comment but it’s too late! Wallace is having massive transits and here’s an example of how Uranus the rug puller, erratic by orbit and nature, can work to exactitude on timings –
- Without a time of birth we can’t pinpoint Gregg Wallace’s planets to the minute so Venus can be anywhere between 24.12 and 25.25 Scorpio
- Let’s go for a Noon chart, puts Venus at 24.48 Scorpio
- Yesterday Uranus was at 24.40 Taurus
- Uranus has already been opposite that degree, in June, and then turned retrograde 1 September at 27 Taurus
- So this is now the middle retrograde contact, often the highly sensitized one of the sequence of three, the third and final one will be end of next March
- This is a transit that happens only once in a lifetime, once every 84 years, so it’s big news
- He also has his Moon in Virgo, the Noon chart puts the Moon at nearly 17 Virgo, but I would speculate that his Moon is earlier in the sign, picking up the Saturn now at 13 degrees of the opposite sign of Pisces
- Whatever the exact position of his natal Moon, Saturn is transiting exactly conjunct his Moon’s South Node (misfortune, bad karma) at 13 Pisces
Saturn slams on the brakes and hits the wall of the authorities, while the Uranus transit illustrates that this was totally left field, but he’s made matters worse by flinging fuel on the fire – like Mars now stationing (coming to a halt) in readiness for turning around in Leo, the wounded lion, media royalty in trouble? Wouldn’t mind betting on a Leo Ascendant, or maybe Sag, firing from the hip. Either way, his resignation or sacking is imminent.
