This is what I call a transitional week. Jupiter – planet of hope, good fortune and wide horizons – is now turning retrograde, and will be backtracking until the end of next January. This doesn’t mean that all good things go on hold until the New Year, but it does mean that plans for the future could meet an interesting twist in the road. Unfolding events may introduce a factor that leads to looking at longer term issues in a new light, especially as Jupiter turns retrograde in Gemini, sign of the Twins, which often signals choices. Focus on your “re” words – review, revise, rethink, rewind… Travel, legal and educational concerns all need special re-consideration.
Jupiter’s direct opposite is Saturn – planet of work, effort and responsibility – and he’s in the news big time, changing sign for the first time in three years. Saturn moves into intense and powerful Scorpio on Friday (21.34 BST) and will be trekking through this sign until September 2015. Mmm, life suddenly seems to be taking a turn for the serious but this doesn’t mean that it has to be heavy going. On the contrary, I would suggest that a deep appraisal of your true needs, desires and goals is extremely timely. Saturn’s bigger picture message is that nothing can be built and truly valued without commitment… and how can you put commitment before passion? It has to be the other way around.
As above, so below, so by “coincidence” rather than design am just reading Stephen Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, a book which truly captures this astrological vibe and making me “re-think” certain ideas in a fascinating way. Thank you to Jeryl for the recommendation!
