Well if you think of the planets as your “dramatis personae” Mars and Saturn are the “bad guys”. In traditional astrology Mars is known as the “lesser malefic” and Saturn the “greater malefic”. They’re at odds with each other today so you have a wonderful excuse for the Monday morning blues, especially as today is the day that a lot of people get back to work. Think slow rev up… Mars is action, Saturn blocks…
In the world this is a serious blow for pro – democracy. Mars in Aquarius (the collective, human rights) squaring up to Saturn in Scorpio (power, control) sums up the depressing news that Bahrain’s highest appeal court has upheld the sentences of 13 activists for their part in anti-government protests. In your own world this would suggest that it’s wise to stand back from somebody else’s conflict unless you really can intervene in an intelligent and constructive way.
Moving forwards, the week gets better. Venus arrives in Capricorn early Wednesday and we have the New Moon in this sign too on Friday evening. Capricorn is the sign of purpose, ambition and loves a project. It’s not too late to make a New Year’s resolution, either in relation to a professional goal or a personal desire. Whatever sets you on the road to 2013 achievements gets a big tick.
