Weekly insights into the stars
Mercury turned retrograde last Monday at 13 degrees of Pisces, one of his signs of “detriment” (where the qualities of the sign are incompatible with the planet), the sign of mutable water, co-ruled by Neptune, god of the seas who rules mists, fogs, anything that is uncontainable and which spreads in visible or invisible ways. Like viruses.
There is loveliness in this conjunction as Venus, planet of love, pleasure and money, is in her sign of exaltation and Neptune is at home, dignified in his own sign. Dreams can come true and healing can happen, especially when you identify and work with your true feelings, and/or someone else’s. Kindness and empathy will count for a lot too so make these your watchwords in all your relationships these next few weeks, not just with a partner but with anyone close to you and especially those who rely on you for understanding. Unconditional love can be very beautiful, to give as well as to receive. So put yourself out, go the extra mile, you’ll feel good and score yourself some spiritual brownie points.
So we’re now into the Aquarius time of year as the Sun will travel through this sign for the next four weeks. The square to Uranus midweek rather sets the tone so, in our own lives, there’s definitely a message around progressiveness and daring to be different. You CAN achieve the life that you want if you’re true to you and if you’re not afraid to raise eyebrows, possibly including your own.
It seems that Harry and Meghan will both have an uphill climb in terms of regaining their popularity and this is an extremely common component of Eclipse symbolism – who rises and who falls, winners and losers, who is empowered and who is disempowered. Triangular situations are at the top of the list – ie we have the three bodies of the Sun, Moon and Earth battling it out – so affairs are super sensitized at these times. Who will end up with whom?
Does everything feel very heavy going at the moment? Hardly surprising. This is a huge week astrologically and for many this is the stuff of transition, a time of endings and beginnings, involving big decisions or serious commitments, either involving us directly or those closest to us.
