Weekly insights into the stars
Venus and Mars are the love planets and they’re still struggling in their own ways. They’re also kind of awkward travel companions at the moment, on their own journeys but keeping each other in sight.
Eclipses are always important milestones and this one takes on extra significance by falling at 15 Sag, opposite the degree of the Sun – Venus conjunction at 13 Gemini. In other words, whatever unfolds for you midweek on the cazimi Venus is likely to throw up pivotal changes and choices that will be even more obvious by the end of the week.
This week has a very different mood as the frenzy of activity in Gemini is easing up, especially in terms of Mercury who has only one minor aspect to make to Jupiter before moving on into the next sign, and who then repeats that same minor aspect to Saturn. And in fact Mercury’s sequence here is the only astrological activity for this week.
Primarily Venus is Aphrodite, goddess of love. While Venus retrogrades through Gemini romance and relationship concerns of all kinds will remain high on the sensitivity list, but they become even more important when Venus is involved in exact aspects to the other planets. This week then is a milestone for many as Venus makes that second square to Neptune and also meets up with Mercury.
So, pay close attention to what is unfolding for you this week. In Venusian terms the key issues are love, sex, desire, pleasures and money. Retrogrades don’t automatically signal that everything will unravel, but there may be some threads that will. In relationships check your assumptions, whether you’ve been with someone a long time or getting to know someone new. Be open to different ways of doing things and, as Wayne Dyer says, try not to focus on what is missing in the other person. In other words, don’t fixate on what they don’t do or say as this sets up a downward spiral of doubt, negativity or dissatisfaction.
