The theme of fresh starts and looking forwards is supported by Mercury’s first activity after changing sign, a minor but positive aspect to Greater Benefic Jupiter, both at 0 degrees of their new signs, holding hands as they start out on their new journeys … some details will change again but the important thing is to get started.
The encouraging news is that once these squares are over Saturn will then not be on a collision course with any of the other planets. Astrologically speaking, we’re coming to the end of the worst, but it was never going to be an easy end to the year.
The exact moment of any Full Moon is when the Moon reaches the position exactly opposite the Sun, hence receiving all of the Sun’s light and making the full disc of the Moon visible in our night sky. This is therefore a moment of illumination literally and symbolically, only this time with Venus-Pluto in the shadows.
The Venus – Pluto conjunction usually happens once a year but the reason that it’s such major news this time around is because this is the first of a series of three, as Venus is getting ready to start a retrograde backwards loop through the heavens.
It’s another big week astrologically as we travel towards the Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius at the weekend, although right now “travel” is not the best choice of words. Obviously the most important news of the day is the new variant Omicron and all we can hear across the world right now is the sound of airports slamming their doors shut.
